MOTOR CYCLING CLUB 200 MILES RELIABILITY TRIAL.
A reliability trial, open to members of a recognised motor cycling club, will be held on Labour Day (Monday, 27th inst.). Tho distance will be 200 miles, divided into four sections of fifty miles each. • The trial will probably commence at 6 a.m., and is .expected to finish by 6 p.m. The route to be traversed will not be divulged to the competitors till the morning of the trial. At the Btarting point (the Ouatom House) ' competitors will bo given written instructions as to what constitutes the first section. At the conclusion of this section fresh instructions will be given, and iso on throughout the trial. Four fixed "controls " will be established, particulars of which will be plainly stated on checking cards and on route cards. Competitors must arrivo at these stations at the times marked on checking cards. Two secret "controls" will bo established, bnt differences in times of {arriving at. these points will only be 'taken into «on- • sideration in the event' of a tie. Speed ; Machines under 600 c.c, 20 m.p.h., ; machines (solo) over 600 c.c, 83 m.p.h., ; machines (passenger) over 600 c.c, 18 m.p.h. Competitors with passenger machines will bo required to carry a passenger weighing at least 10 stone. The use of speedometers will not be allowed. Competitors will be despatched Id teams of four each, and such teams must rido together throughout the trial. Any competitor leaving the other members of the team by more than 200 yards will be disqualified. , ( The annual gymkhana will take place early in November. UNSURPASSED. DR.
