The New Zealand branch of the British Parliamentary Association, of which Mr. A. S. Malcolm, M.P., is local secretary, has arranged to entertain Mr. L. S. Amery, member of the House of Commons for Birmingham South, at lunch when he arrives in Wellington next Friday. Mr. Amery, who is to be the guest of the Governor during his stay in Wellington, will lunch with the Hon. James Allen on Saturday, and on Monday he will be entertained at luncheon by the New Zealand Club. When lie struck the lucifer. however, he realised the cause of the intense blackness, for hi 6 eyesight had departed from him. while lie slept. He is now quite blind.
