WHAT WOMEN WANT
" Why are aJI the women so restless nowadays, and why do they all want something, and yet not seem to know what they want?" This is a question Tjfhich is discussed in the Boston Congregationalist, and hem is the answer that a woman offers: — " 1 have concluded that Women are so bus^v with the accessories of living that they have no time for the living itself. Their fundamental duties as wives, mothers, housekeepers, and homemakers arp made so easy for them by modern science and modern invention, they have so much leisure that tho accessories come in»— the club, the fad of the hour, the beauty the constantly -changing fashions. , Women work harder and fag themselves /out more completely fllliiig their leisure hours than they would in doing a washing every day. "1, believe what the average woman of to-dty needs is a thorough study of herself, and after that the uprooting of a selfishness that is really silarming. Contentment lies in giving, happiness in bringing happiness to others. Sometimes that is a hard thing to learn, but it will ultimately, prow itself „ gvGry time.'i
