HUTT FLOWER SHOW
The attendances of the public at the Hutt flower show, to be concluded tonight, in the Town Hall, Lower Hutt, promise to constitute a record for that' society. Any admirer of flowers sliould not miss the present exhibition, as it is acknowledged to be the finest ever made in the Hutt' Valley. The competition for the Barr trophy was a very close one. Mr. R. Gibson, who came second for the trophy, did so under the* big handicap of having to bring his collection from Riverlea. He had the misfortune to miss the train there and eventually came on by motor, reaching the Hutt a few hours prior to the opening of the show, but not in time to have his varieties ticketed. Further results show that Mr. A. Booth has won the special trophy presented by the Hutt • Valley Licensed .Victuallers' Association. R.H.S. certificates of merit have been awarded to the exhibits made by Mr. C. Trevefchick and from the Bellevue Gardens. Mr. T. Waugh's exhibit has earned a R.H.S. bronze medal.
