AUSTRALIAN ARTISTS MEET WORK ON COMMONWEALTH • BUILDING. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) Times— Sydney Sun Bpecial Cables. (Received September 1, 8.30 a.m.) ' LONDON, 31st August. Australian artists, under the presidency of Mr. Bertram MacKennal (the sculptor) have drawn up proposals regarding tho mural decoration and statuary for tho Commonwealth building. They claim that work ought to be reserved for Australians. Sir George Reid, High Commissioner for Australia, has forwarded the proposals to Mr. Cook, the Federal Prime Minister.
