In Wellington yesterday amateur meteorologists did not know what to make of the weather. Starting with an invitation for summer attire it changed to the gloomy aspect, warning that goloshes, umbrellas, and overcoats were -not yet to be entirely discarded. Sun and rain alternated ra-. pidly To-day sun has first place. The meteorological report is to the effect that there has been little change during the past 24 hours. Winds have been variable, moderate to strong. There is likely, however, to be a change with freshening northerly winds, increasing cloudiness, and rain following. A storm of moderate intensity appears to bo gravelling across tho Tasman Sea.
