COLLEGE GOVERNORS
The monthly meeting of the Wellington College and Girls' High School Board of Governors wsb held to-day. Present were --Messrs. A. de B. Braudon (chairman), R. Lee, J. H. Warburton, J. p. Luke, W. F. Ward, and W. H. P. Barber. The financial statement showed : —Balance at bank £1272 16s 7d, and, when allowance had been made for payments dud, £SO7 8s Id. This was without taking into consideration fees outstanding. The resignation of Miss Whiteheud from the teaching staff of the Girls' High School was accepted.
The Eastbourne Borough Council is altering the departure of the second morning boat from the district, so that for the future it will leave Day's Bay first at 8 a.m., leaving Rona Bay direct for the city *at 8.15 a.m. Otherwise, the tnne-tabfe and fares, as at present existing, will be continued for a time. The annual meeting of the Star Boatiag Club will be held to-night.' -- -
