Meanwhile, pending a settlement of the respective claims against Turkey 40,000 Turkish prisoners in Bulgaria and I 80,0u« in Greece are not to be liberated lest they should strengthen Enver Bey's forces. TOWN TRANSFERRED TO GREECE. I EVACUATED BY BULGAR CAVALRY. ATHENS, 27th August. Gumurgina, on the Constantinople* Salonika railway, has been formally transferred to Greece, and evacuated by the Bulgarian cavalry. STORIES OF ATROCITIES. TROUBLES REGARDING A COMMISSION. The Austrian and German members of the International Commission organised by the Carnegie Fund to enquire regarding the Balkan atrocities declined to act. Servia has declined to recognise the Commission because the Russian delegate refuses to withdraw.
