For Southern Offices of New Zealand, per Mararoa, 7,45 p.m. The next best despatch for correspondence addressed to the Continent of Europe and United Kingdom will be via Brindisi, per Manuka, closing at Wellington, Friday, 22nd August, at 3.30 p.m. Mails for Chatham Islands close at Lyttelton, per Himitangi, on Saturday, 23rd August, at 10 a.m. Mails for Australian States and South Africa close at Auckland, per Mabeno, on Monday, 25th August, at 4.15 p.m. Mails for Australian States close at the Bluff, per Ulimaroa, on Monday, 25th August, at 3.30 p.m. Mails for Rarotonga and Tahiti close at Auckland, per Talune, on Tuesday, 26th August, at 10.45 a.m. The next best despatch for Fiji, Fanning Island, Honolulu, Canada, United States of America, Central America, and West Indies, will be via Vancouver, closing at Wellington, per Main Trunk train, on Thursday, 28th August, j at 10.50 a.m., C.P.O. 11.6 a.m.; late-fee letter box at Thorndon Railway Station, 11.45 a.m The parcels branch qf the Post Office is now located in the basement Of the new Post Office : building, the public entrance being from Greystreet. \ The public are earnestly requested to register all letters containing money or valuables intended to be sent by post. AH books and sample packets and newspapers for places within the Dominion must be posted half an hour before the ordinary letter mail closes.
