LOCAL GOVERNMENT ENGINEERS
A considerable amount ol business was transacted by the council of the Institute of Local Government Engineers, at a meeting held in Wellington yesterday. The president, M^r. S. Jickell, occupied the chair. It \va* decided to hold the* annual conference m Auckland during March, 1914. The matter of oWfcaining incorporation and .general recognition was exhaustively discussed, &nd 6' Legislative Committee set up to prepare a Bill to be presented to Parliament during the present session. A committee was also appointed to further revise oxftmination papers for th© proposing members. The matter of securing an official organ was also dealt with «&tisfactorily.
