GOLF

PARLIAMENT v. ARMY. The annual golf match, Parliament v. Army, which was initiated last year, took place at Heretaunga yesterday, and resulted in a tie. Following are the scores :— Vernon Reed lost to Colonel Johnston; Arthur Myers all square with Colonel Knox; W. H. D. Bell beat Colonel Cochrane; C. K. Wilson all square with Captain Estcourt ; T. E. Y. Seddon all square with Major Hughes. The Army won by default from Hon. Dr. Collins. In the afternoon a four-ball match was played, with the following results :— Reed and partner beat Colonels Heard and Johnston; Myers and Bell all square with Colonels Knox and Cochrane; Wilson and Seddon lost to Major Hughes and Captain Estcourt.
