SENTENCES. (BT TELEORAPfi— I'RKSS ASSOW4TION.) HAMILTON, This Day. In the Supreme Court Samuel Brain, aged 24, and William Henry Adams, aged 19, was convicted of horse-stealing at Cambridge. Brain was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment and Adams to twelve months' reformative treatment. Albert Hugo Korth, with a long criminal career, was sentenced jto twelve months' hard labour for obtaining money by means of valueless cheques at Ngaruawahia William Edgar Phillips, aged 19, a native of London, who had led a very adventurous career, was sentenced to twelve months' reformative treatment for forging his employer' 3 name to chequei at 'IV Awamutu. 1 DIVORCE SUIT. William Lancaster, aged 60, sued for A divorcr from Ada Lancaster, aged 30, on the grounds of her adultery with Alfred J. M. SymoiiF. The parties live at Pirongia, a small' settlement 30 miles iitjtri Hamilton, and adultery was admitted by respondent and co-respondent. The jury awarded £260 damages against Symons.
