THE SHIP
There are three lines running under the Tysei' flag, viz., th» Indra Line, Star (or J. P. Corry) Line, and the Tyser Line. The Indrabarah bolongs to a. big fleet which trades largely to the East. She was one of the finest and neweßt of the line, and her carrying capacity was 15,000 tons measurement and 7000 ton» gross She had space for 103,300 carcases of mutton, and she waa a regular Australia-New Zealand trader. As a passenger steamer the Indrabarah was very comfortably fittel up for a limited number of first-class passengers. Her builders were Swan, Hunter, and "Wigham, Wallsend-on-Tyne, and she was engined by Richardson, Westgarth, and Co., Hartlepool, When she first cam© out to New Zealand from London she fell in with very bad weather, but did exceedingly well, making ft average speed all the way, via the Cape to Australia, of 12£ knots On her trial trip from the Tyne to Gravesend she made 14.38 knots. PERSONNEL OF OFFICEPvS. The officers with Captain Hollings* worth, who has commanded the Indrabarah since she has been in this trade, are : Messrs. Stafford, Ist officer : Adcook, 2nd ; and Hill, 3rd. Mr. Morris is chief engineer and Mr. Jackson 2nd. The refrigerating engineer is Mr. Young.
