RUGBY. SEVEN-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT

The seven-a-side tournament, which has been adopted as the curtain-raiser for the Rugby season, was played at Athletic Park on Saturday afternoon. The entries were sufficiently numeious to provide a, very full afternoon's sport. In the sixth class section six teams entered, in the fifth class eight teams, and ifl the senior, sixteen teams. There was only one win by default. Generally, the games were interesting, though, in some cases the margin of one team's superiority was very great, and the match one-sided. Athletic A won the senior contest, and St. Patrick's College were, winners in both fifth and sixth grades. The attendance of the public was fairly large. The following referees assisted with tlje work of the afternoon : Messrs. M'Kenzie, Sievers, Scott, Simpson, Roskruge, Kean, Clinkard, Standen, Fordyce, Slines, Bailey, and Church. Following are the results of the games :
