• WELLINGTON CLUB. On Saturday afternoon a double-scull-ing contest took place for the Bannatyne and Hunter Cup. Results were ;— First heat—T. Jenkins (str) and E. A. Shaw defeated A. Barry (str) and D. Maroney, Second heat— C. J. Symonds (str) and C. Murray beat W. Hoare (str) and A. Donaldson.j Third heat— -E. Cairns (str) and R. Harvey defeated J. Hoare (str) and L. Williams. Fourth heat— H. M'Kinley (str) and I. Murray won from H. Hinchcliffe (str) and F. Stavely. Fifth heat— E. Eustage (str) and F. Lacey beat A. Jackson (str) and M. Rafter. Sixth heat— -T. Jenkins (str) and E. A. Shaw defeated C. Symons (str) and C. Murray. Semi-flnals—H. M'Kinley and Murray beat E. Cairns and R. Harvey by a foot. T. Jenkins and E. A. Shaw defeated Eustage and Lacey by three lengths. Final— M'Kiniey and Murray defeated Jenkins and Shaw by a canvas, after a hard and exciting race. J. Hoare won the final for the junior sculls, defeating E. Eustage after a hard contest. ■* STAR CLUB. Two heats in the Star Boating Club's senior pairs were rowed on Saturday. Turnbull (str) and Craig (bow) defeated Bird (str) and Carr (bow) by three lengths. Brewer (str) and' H. Lawson (bow) won from Holmes (str) and Tomlinson (bow) by four lengths.
