'The English ateamet Calvados, an iron screw steamer of 353 tons, built at Greenock in 18fts and formerly owned by the London, Brighton, and South Goa*fc Railway Company, trading locally, was lost in the Sea of Marmora a week ago. The loss of life at the time was officially denied, but it is how admitted that the crew and two hundred passengers perished.
