MOTOR CYCLE RELIABILITY TRIAL

This morning at 6.30 the first team of competitors in th© motor-cycle reliability trial was despatched for Palmerston North, the end of the first ' day's run. To-morrow the trial will be continued, th© riders returning to Wellington^ via Sandon, Foxton, yhannon, and Levin— a total distance of 280 miles. The petrol consumption test -will be conducted on Saturday afternoon, between Wiukana© and Wellington, and the hillclimb will be held on the Paekakariki Hill. Th© competitors are due in town at about 6 p.m. to-morrow. Of the sixteen entrants the following faced the utarter: T. Burn (2jJ h.p. New Hudson), H. Plimmer, C. S. Pees (2-f h.p. Douglas), J. Boucher (3^h.p. Rudge), D. G. Jack, R. Burn (5£ h.p. New Hudson), C. V. Sutherland, R. Keene, C. W. Tanner, A. Anderson (3£ h.p. Triumph), 'H, Hume, R. S. Bender, H. Gastein (7 h.p. Indian), and I.
