ANOTHER HOTEL BURGLARY
AUCKLAND, 27th February. Another hotel burglary is reported, the result of -which goes to, indicate th,at Auckland is at present being visited by one, or possibly two, of the criminal typo known as "bedroom thieves." That the offenders are expert at their work is shown by the fact that, the- Star Hotel, in Albert-street, was entered during the oarly hours of 14th February, and although the haul was not extensive the burglars made a thorough search of at least three rooms occupied by visitors to the city. They obtained some £5 in cash and a small quantity of jewellery, the heaviest loser being a Sydney resident, who lost two Govereigns from his trousers pocket.
