ME AORANGI'S ARRIVAL. • At 8 o'clock last night the Aorangi, which is coming from San Francisco to Wellington, advised by wireless that she was 270 miles out, and was me-sting with a fresh south-west-erly breeze, moderate sea. and clear weather. She expected to reach port about 6 o'clock this evening. The Aorangi is expected to berth sot No. 6, Queen's Wharf, before dark, and will continue her journey to Sydney to-morrow evening. A further message was received at midday to-day stating that the Aorangi would not arrive until 7 o'clock. EN ROUTE TO SAN FRANCISCO. Early this morning the San Francisco Royal Mall steamer Moana arrived in the stream from Sydney, en route to the Californian port. The voyage across the Tasman was beautifully fine, the Bea, according to an officer, being as calm as a nrillpond all the time. The vessel ; berthed at the King's Wharf later in the morning, and commenced loading a quantity of dairy produce and other cargo. She will sail at 6 p.m. to-morrow for San Francisco, via Rarotonga and Papeete, and is due at her destination on the 20th March. A few pasBengers landed in Wellington, and 60 are booked through. PERSONAL. Mr. Coull, late of the Kakapo, Is to Join the Mararoa as purser in place of Mr. Ward, who proceeds to Sydney to-morrow to join the Marama temporarily. Mr. Spiers, purser Of the Arahura, la to transfer to the Tarawera during Mr. Scott's absence on holiday leave, and Mr. F. A. Williams will take Mr. Spicrs's place on the Arahufa. Mr. Andrews rejoined the Moana to-day as purser. Mr. L. C. Adkins, late chief officer of the Katoa, transferred to the 'Atua at Auckland. The Union Company's 'steamer Pukakl, which has been delayed in the Islands through the recent hurricane, is due at Auckland from Apia (Samoa) either to-day or to-morrow, Alter discharge of v cargo of copra there, the Pukaki is to proceed to Limestone Island to load for Wellington and Greymouth. NEREHANA LEFT JONDON. Advice has been received that the Tyser steamer Nerehana left London last Sunday for Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Napier, and Wellington. The vessel is due here about the end of April. The steamer Bafenfels, at present en route from New York to Australian 'and New Zealand ports, has been chartered to load coal ut NeWcastle for Pcnang. ' The Wairuna sailed from Port Chalmers this \ morning for Newcastle, where she is to load ! coal for Wellington. ' The Mapourika arrived at Greymouth from Wellington at 5.40 o'clock this morning, and is to sail on her return trip at midnight. The Arapawa is expected back in Welling' ton from Picton next Monday. The Moa is due in port on Saturday to I undergo annual overhaul. At 10.45 o'clock this morning the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer" Orari, heavily laden with a general cargo, left Wellington for London. She is due at her destination about the second week in March. Due back at Wellington to-morrow from Blenheim, the coastal steamer Blenheim will lay up here fore her annual overhaul. She wilt be placed on the Patent Slip on Saturday, and expects to resume running, early next week. * The Kahu, which left Wellington yesterday for Picton and East Const bays, is to make a run from Napier and Auckland and back, thus assisting the Koutunui, which will take the place of the Squall during that vessel's annual overhaul at Auckland.
