A GOOD DEAL OF MONEY STOLEN. (BT TELEGRAM— MtfcsS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Thieves entered the Grand Hotel last night, and visited the rooms of many of the boarders, robbing them of money and jewellery. Mr. Harry Clarke, *an American actor, was the. principal loser« A roll of notes totalling £516 was taken. One of the delegates to the Press Association meeting fcid his purse stolen. . ' : ■LOSSES ABOUT- £6OO. _ . ' ' Later.' Evidence shows that the thieve* gained access to the rooms by - means of a fire escape, entering through the windows. The total losses in money and jewellery amount to about" £600. I • Mr. Nibbo, in. a room near Clark, 'had over £500, which the thief overlooked, and which the owner promptly banked this morning. Mr. Hall (private secretary ta the* Hon. T?. Fisher) lost a gold watch and chain.
