The Manawatu Motor Cycle Club held their first sports meeting to-day at the Awapuni racecourse, and the meeting proved a notable success 1 . Two thousand spectators were present. In some instances a mile a minute was exceeded. Competitors were present from Christ--church, Hastings, and Wellington. The Manawatu championship, ' 15 miles, for 3£ horsc-pov/er a/id under, was won by S. Morrison, of Hastings, in 16min 20sec.
