ARRIVALS. January 23—Tarawera, b.s. (o.lo' p.m.), £003 tons, Carson, from Lyttelton. WAIHORA DELAYED. The Union CompaDy was ad^sed this afternoon that the Waihora (from Calcutta) will not get away Irom Auckland for Wellington until noon on Friday. This will make her due on Sunday afternoon, and she will commence discharge ,on Monday morning. TYSER STEAMERS. The next-inward steamer of the Tyaer fleet expected at Wellington is the Star of Ireland, from Ne* York direct. The vessel has a large quantity of U.S.A. cargo to land here. She will be followed by the Indra Line Indralema, due from London and Australian ports about the 24th February. The new Tyser steamer Hawkrs Bay is due, via Australian ports, on the 9th March. She will be commanded by the uell-knoun seaman, Captain Lidstotle, ,vho at one time or another has had charge of prnctically every steamer of the fleet. The following vessels will probably be withm wireless range of Auckland and Wellington this evening:— Ulimaroa, Victoria,' Warrimoo, Athenic, and Tofua. The Anchor Line's steamer Alexander, duß here to-morrow from Turakohe, is to sail the same day for Nelson and West Coast. She will probably be followed by the Kaitoa, due in port from Wanganui oh Monday. Owing to the holiday on the wharf next Tuesday on account of the Waterside Workers' picnic, the Monowai'a departure for Lyttelton and Dunedin, has been postponed until 4 p.m .Wednesday. The Koonya arrived at Greymouth from Wel» lington at 8.40 o'clock this morning. She is to sail on a return trip this evening, laden with coal. The Komata will return to the Coast at noon on Saturday. The Arahora will make a special trip to Nelson this evening, leaving at 8 o'clock. She is due back to-morrow night, via Picton. The Awaroa leares Wellington this evening for Kelson and Motueka, and, as she is running an excursion from Motueka to Nelson in connection with Wlrths's circus, she will not arrive back in port until Sunday. ,On the following day she returns to Nelson and Motueka. Leaving Limestone Island shortly with cement for Sydney, the Union Company's turret steamer Koromiko will subsequently load at Newcastle for Wellington. Laden with produce for Wellington, the ketch Lfesie Taylor left Timaru at 0.30 a.m. yestcr« day. The P. and S. steamer Surrey, which arrived Home from New Zealand last Monday, is scheduled to sail from Liverpool for New Zealand ports on the 22nd February. Later news in regard to the Kaituna is to the effect that the vessel was to leave Edithburg (South Australia) to-day with a cargo of salt and gypsnm for Wellington, Napier, and New Plymouth. The Kaitangata is loading a cargo of timber at Port fluon (Tasmania), v and is expected to sail on Saturday, for Dnnediu direct. She should arrive about the end of next iweek. On completion'of the discharge of her Eastern cargo at Dunedin, the Union Company's steamer Waihora will undergo,survey and-overhaul before proceeding to Newcastle. The Nairnshire left Waitara at 11 o'clock this morning, for Wellington, where she is to continue Homeward loading operations. Due here to-morrow morning from Westport, the Navua will sail in the evening for Auckland direct. The Kurow left Newcastle last Tuesday for Lyttelton. ' After discharging &t the southern port, she will return to Newcastle to load for Wellington, being due here early in February. Advice has been received by the Union Company stating that the collier'Kittawa left Newcastle at 7 p.m. last Tuesday for New Plymouth and Wanganui. It is expected that the Harpagus will get away for Lyttelton on Saturday. The departure, of the Nikau for' Nelson and Motueka on Saturday next has been postponed until 11 p.m., for the convenience of passengers attending the Wellington races. The Star of Scotland, wnich is sailing this evening for Brisbane, where she 1 will load for Home, is taking 100 casks of tallow*from New Zealand. At 4 p.m. to-morrow the Rakiura will sail from Wellington rbr-Hokitika direct and Geymouth. Messrs. Bannatyne and Co. are now agents for the vessel. Advice has been received stating that the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Kaikoura, which, left .London on the 4th December for Dunedin, arrived at Hobart on the 10th inst. She is expected to continue her journey to-morrow. The Kahu, which arrived from East Coast yesterday, sails for another load of waol this evening.
