Sir John Simon, Solicitor-General, has given notice in the House of Commons to refer the question of Sir Stuart Samuel's retention of his scat to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. LA Parliamentary Committee was recently set up to report on the caao of Sir Stnart Samuel, Liberal M.P. for Whitechapel, whose position as a member of the banking firm of Samuel, Montagu and Co., through which Indian Government purchases of silver were made, has' been held in gome quarters to place the member in an undesirable situation.]
