O AMARU, Bth December. Wheat has been offering more freely than fov some time backj but the demand is not keen. There is a considerable quantity of wheat in the district, but farmers are not satisfied that the figures offered represent the true value of the grain. Velvet is most wanted, and bet' ter money is obtainable for this variety than, for the red. Several sales of velvet have been made at 3s 8d net at country
stations. Prime red chaff has been sold at 3s Bd, less commission, on trucks, and 3s 9d, less commission, ex store. Other wheats sell at lesser figures. Very few oats are offering, and the sales haye been small at 2s o£d and 2s Id for A grade C4artons and Is ll£d and 2s for B grade, all net at country stations.
