A LOVER'S DELUSION*
Harry Lewis, a middle-aged <iabinet> maker, of Whitdhiu'ch, near Cardiff, 1 who was on 12th October found in his bedroom with his throat cut, had been vdry fond of the' daughter of a well-known local resident. The young lady died recently, and this so preyed on his mind that it was impossible to persuade' him that she was actually dead. He visited her home just before her burial* and assured everybody that the girl was hot dead. In his' frenzy he visited the cemetery, and was caught in the act of digging up the grave, apparently for the purpose of exhuming the body. When stopped he repeated that, the girl w4s not dead, and the police were forced to interfere before he could be persuaded to abandon his task. t • A few years ago Lewis wrote to the dead girl's father asKing if he could be allowed to . marry her, but his request was ignored.
