Mr. Alex. 'Veitoh, of the drapery firm of Veitch and Altnn, is about to retire from business. The firm was started by Messrs. Veitch and Allan BOine thirty four years Ago in Lower Manners-street, opposite the old Fire Station. There wero then only the two principals engaged in thebusiness, with the exception of one apprentice. To-day the firm occupies tht, great emporium at the angle of Cuba-street and Ingestre-street, and employs 150 hands.
