EVIDENCE BEFORE PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE. By Telegraph.— Press Association,— Copyright. (Received December s*, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 4th December. ■Captain Charlton, the Admiralty wire. less expert, in his evidence before the Parliamentary Select Committee which is enquiring into the contract between the Post Office and the Marcctni Company, said the Admiralty had obtained the removal of a restriction upon undertaking that the colonies and others learning the secrets should agree not to manufacture apparatus without payment. Australia and New Zealand declined the undertaking. The difficulty in finding ah additional wireless expert aboard the Vettion was owing to the authorities stipulating that he should hold a university degree. Personally he approved the Marconi agreement, and thought that further delay would be regrettable.
