WAIRARAPA PRESBYTERY
The Wairarapa Presbytery met in Knox Church, Masterton, this week, the Rev. G. K. Stowell, Moderator, presiding. The report oh. the visitation of Wairarapa South Congregation Was presented by .Mr. Tennant, which showed th&t tho charge wag 1 in a healthy condition. It was Stated that the income for the last three years had increased at the rate of £30 per' annum. ' Orphanage work and missions had received this year £68. The finding of the Preebyt&ry is to be read to the congregations at Featherston and Greytown on t bo 20th in«t., by Mr. Tennant. , Satisfactory reports were received from the home mission stations of Pongaroa and Eketahunix. Bible-class and Sabbath School reports were submitted by Re*. A. T. Thompson. " On the motion of R«v. G. K. Btowell, the Rev. W. Macara was nominated for the Moderatorship of the General Assembly nesrt year. Revg A. T. Thompson, G. K. Stowell, and^E. C. Tennant, minister*, and the Elders of Carterton, Lansdown, and Pahiatua ,were appointed assembly delegates. It' wan resolved, on. the motion of Mr, Stowell to support in every way_ poesiblp, the' movement for religious instruction in the State School® of the Dominion. The Rev. J. S. Young, K. C. Tennant, and A. T. Thompson, wefe appointed a commusion to viscit Eketahuna. The matron of the Home for Aged Needy desires £0 acknowledge, with thanks, the reoaipt of a parcel of clothing from Mrs. Lynam, Karaka Bay; cakes and fnrit from Mre. Williams; The Terrace, atid from Mr. Rowell, Courte-nny-placej grfte of useful articles and literature from Miseee Craig, Mission to Seamen, Messrs. Veitch and Allan, Mrs. Herd, Oirtoo-torruCC, tad Mr. Pwkor, EiddifordistiMt. i
