Sir George Doughty, M.P. for Great Grimsby, who is visiting the Dominion, has interviewed the Government with a view of aiding the immigration of English fishermen to populate the Pacific coast. Ultimately these would form the nucleus of a Canadian naval reserve ' force. The Government lent a sympathetic ear to the proposals.
