The last of the off-season monthly euchre tournaments in connection with the Hataitai Bowling Club took place last night in the club's pavilion, and all the tables were fully occupied. The lady's prize (a rose bowl] was won by Mrs. Gf, N. Baggett (Car&]ine-Btre<jt), who took first prize at the July tourna' ment. Mr. Sinclair won tho gentleman* prize. As usual, a dance followed, and there were many expressions of regret that these pleasant social gatherings wer* closed for the present season, Th« Amusement Committee of the club (Messrs. Julius, Penney, Cheeseman. Ballinger, lMlkington, Shepherd, and Jones) were warmly congratulated on their successful efforts in providing winter amusements for members and their lady friends.
