DAIRYMEN'S AGREEMENT

INVERCARGILL, 20th September. The committee appointed by the South Island Dairy Association met the Southland and Otago Dairy Factory Managers' Union to-day and came to an agreement on all the .points in dispute except salaries, which will be further discussed at a meeting next week. The hours of labour are not to exceed ninety-eight per week, and one month's holiday is allowed. Preference is given to unionists, provided that neither party federates with any other body. The agreement is to come into effect on Ist September, 1913.
