GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP
PLAY POSTPONED OWING TO RAIN. Heavy rain early this morning made play at Heretaunga impossible to-day. After due deliberation it was decided by the committee of the Wellington Golf Club that the links were not fit to.be played on to-day. There is every - indication that the links will be dry enough for play tomorrow, although at present there is a good deal of water on the link§.
