There is an enorraoup congestion of shipping at Xev;ca,=tlc at tlic present time, and vessels are experiencing great difficulty in completing thuii' loading. As fast as a vessel is loaded, there are literally dozens more waiting to fill the berth. The tramp steamer Myra Fell, which arrived at Auckland on Monday from Hie New South Wales coal port, wns detained there for a week waiting tor a loading berth, and .jus.'., before she sailed there were about a dozen la/rge oversea steamers and between 80 and 90 sailing vessels waiting to loud coal for various parts of tlie workl. In comequence of the congestion, several of the larae passenger and mail steamers now bunker at Sydney, in preference to being detained ad Newcastle waiting for an opportunity to coal. ' The ba.iis at Foxton and Patea were reported this, morning to bo still in an unsatieiiictory condition. It wn.i thought, however, that the Waver ley and Gertie would get out of Foxton this afternoon. The Kapuni is bai bound at Patea. The old Queeiii of the South is once again looking shipshape. The thorough overhaul which has been given her should be tornploted early ne\t week, and the "Queen" will again be recorded among Hie arrivals and departures The Haupiri was to leave Auckland to-tlav for Hast Coast, bajs and Wellington, via Lim6etone Island. Duo here from Tarakohe on Sunday, the Waimea will go on the Slip for overhaul on the following day. The Kaipara, en route from Liver)>ool to JNew Zealami ports, left Hobart on Tuesday for Auckland, ahd is due there on Stihday. Flic will afterwards come on to Wellington, and fchould reach this jwrt about the 30th inst. The Putiki is to come off tho Patent Slip next Saturday, and vill probably sail lor Wanganui on Monday.
