ART CLUB'S CONCERT.

The programme for the Arts Club con- j cevt is now printed, the cover of which, in a humorous fashion, depicts the various aims and activities of the club. Mr. I\. S. Allwright will sing "The Song of the' Torren t" (Mallison), Mr. J\ R. Johnstone plays- a 'cello solo "^ldagio" (Tarfcini), Miss Nellie Castles sings "My Heart is Weary " (Goring Thomas), the Orpheus quartette will sing "In Absence" (Dudley Beck), Miss Gertrude Hunt is bracketed for two songs by Liza Lehmann — (a) "The Wood Pigeon/ (b) "The Wren," and the first part of the programme concludes with a duologue "He and She," by Mr. Nornian Aitken and Miss Ruby Scott. In the interval an interesting address on 'art matters will be given by His Excellency the Governor. In the second part of the programme the orchestra of the Society of Musicians plays the Toy Symphony, the three movements of which will be conducted by their respective composers, viz., Mr. L. F. Watkins, Mr. Horace Hunt", and Mr. Maughan Harriett. Miss Zelma Hugo sings "Melisaude in the Wood," I ' Mr. Horace Hunt plays the " Caprice Hspagnol " (Moszkowski), Mr. W. H. Church sings "Plymouth Sound" (Jude), Miss Dorothy Wells plays a violin solo, " Reve Angelique" (Rubinstein), and Mr. Hudson, of the French Club, gives a short lecture on Venice, _ with some fine projectoscope illustrations by Mr. Hardie Shaw.
