LADIES' HOCKEY
[BT TSLEORAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The ladies' hockey tournament was continued in fine weather. In Section A, a strong Gisborne team met Canterbury B team. Otago played Wairarapa, and Taranaki met Manawatu. In Section B, Wellington and Wanganui, who arc level, a point behind Hawkes Bay, met. Auckland meeting West Coast, and Hawke 3 Bay Buller. EVENING POST SUBSCRIPTION LISTS To-day we handed over to tho Town Clerk the sum of £70 5s 3d, collcctud at the Evening Post on behalf of the families of tho late tram conductors M'Ruy and Hancock. Tho totnl sum collected was £285 10a 9d. The amount previously handed over uas £215 5s 6d. Tho list is now closed. For Mre. Leckie— Amount stated, £29 19s 6d; 8., ss; Sympathiser, 10s; E.K., ss; D.E.8., ss; M.F., ss: total to date, £31 9s 6d. This list is still open for contributions.
