RUGBY FOOTBALL
The looal Rugby Union has a large programme of representative matches ahead, oommenoing with the game against Southland on Wednesday next at tho Athletic Park. The visiting team are credited with possessing a very solid set of forwards, while their back division is on the light Bide, being all young players who have recently oome into prominence. As a ourtatn-raiser the annual match between Wednesday _ representatives and Junior _ representatives will be played, cotnenoing at 1.30. A notice of importance to players of the local team and the team whioh is to play Hawkes Bay appears in our advertising columns.
