INDIAN PUBLIC SERVICE APPOINTMENT TO THE COMMISSION.

Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald, Labour M.P. for Leicester, has been appointed a member of the Royal Commission on the Indian Public Service, of which Lord Islington, Governor of New Zealand, is to be chairman. The appointment will not affect Mr. MacDonala's position as chairman of the Labour Party.
