Bacon.— The recent high prices Have restricted business, but now there is a firm market with a good demand on account of tho holiday requirements. Sides: Irish, 70s to 80s per cwt; Danish, 62s to 795; Swedish, 68s to 765; Russian, 48s to 62s j Canadian, 60s to 71s j Dutch, 72s to 746. Hams.— Tho market is quiet but steady.' The committee of the Sunday School Union has decided to take-, the Opera Houee for Air.. Archibald's address on Sunday evening, 15th September. Word was received by last mail that Mr. Archibald and party had just concluded a most successful campaign in South Australia. His meetings in Adelaide and three provincial centres wore all crowded.
