'"GREATLY EXAGGERATED." [BY TELEGRAPH-PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
NAPIER, 31st July. Referring to a ' Press" Association message in to-aay's paper, stating that grave dissatisfaction with the tactics of the Federation of Labour has resulted in a gradual depletion of the ranks of the Auckland, General Labourer*' Union, Mr. P. Fraser, president of the latter body, states that the dissatisfaction, like Mark Twain's death, is greatly exaggerated. The depletions, are not on account of any revolutionary tactics of 'the Federation, but on the part of the most militant men, whose complaint is that the Federation's attitude nad ,riot boen revolutionary enough. The Labourers' Union has contributed over £1500 towards the and Reefton funds, which, at this time, when many members, owing to wet weather, cannot earn a living wage, should be ample evidence as to their being in strong agreement with the Federation in its fight at these two places.
