POLICE AND STRIKERS CONFLICT IN ONTARIO.

A collision between tho police and strikers loitering at the Canadian North' cm railway coal docks took place at Port Arthur, Ontario. Several police wore wounded, the chief of police seriously. A couple of strikers were injured. , The assistance of the militia was obtained to preserve order. RAILWAY MEN WIN ON ALL' POINTS. NEW'ToRK, 30th July. Ai strike of conductors and motormen employed on the Boston elevated railway has ended, after having lasted fifty-throe days. The strikers gained a\l points in dispute. Tho strike cost one and a quarter million dollars (£225,000).
