WEDNESDAY ASSOCIATION. The following are the fixtures, grounds, and referees for to-morrow : — Peton© v. Karori, at Petone (Mr. Cuea-ck). Hereawa v. Pakeha, at Karori (Mr. M'Kenzie).
Tho delegates to the Municipal Conference will be the guests of the Wellington City Council at lunch on Thursday afternoon. The members of the Education Commission will leave for Levin this afternoon to inspect the schools there. They will return to-morrow. The presentation of a pearl pendant and ii gold chain was made to-day to Miss Jean Mackay by the •officers of Departmental Offices in Lambton-quay, in recognition of her uniform courtesy during the time she has been in charge of the post office in those buildings. Miss Mackay is about to leave Wellington to take up a position ua the Best Office at. Naw Plymouth.
