CHANGE OF GOVERNMENT AND BUSINESS
OPINIONS IN DUNEDIN. (Bt XHIiaKA*ff— SPECIAL TO IBS YOST.) DUNEDIN, This Day. What effect will the change of Government have on business? This question was propounded to a number of gentlemen prominent in financial and commercial circles in Dunedin. No very, definite opinions were expressed, but there appeared to be a general 'feeling that any alteration would be towards more stability. It seems to be taken for granted that Mr. Massey will be able to carry on, and that there will «be no need for an appeal to' the country. An election \t> a great upsetter of business, and the avoidance of one, coupled with stability of Government, would be in favour of trade. The greater number .of those spoken to considered it premature to go further, preferring to wait and see the programme Mr. Massey will bring down. In the meantime, there is a feeling of confidence in the team the Prime Minister has chosen.
