The Chambers of Commerce Congress carried resolutions approving of tho movement for a trad© mark to denote that goods are manufactured or produced in .the British Empire, that the Commonwealth Government bo requested to open negotiations with the British, Canadian, and New Zealand Governments for acquiring control of a cable across the Atlantic from Canada to Britain, affirming tho desirablenebs- of an amendment of the conditions of lire insurance policieh to cover loss or damage by tire in con>equence of strikers' riot* and civil commotions. It was aJfco. decided to approach ,the fire underwriters on Ine subject.
