The Times, in commenting on the naval review tik Spithead, saya : "If the insurance premium that the Navy represents io fctigh, let us never forget that the insurable risks are almost, incalculable. Vie believe the Government and Mr. Chunchill are now alive to the need for the reinforcement, of the fleet in. the Mediterranean and ekewhero, without drafting upon the forces necessary for Home defence." According <to th« newspaper*, the result of the deliberations of the committee on Imperial defence is that the Government maintains the fleet in the Mediterranean at a strength equal to any other Bower there." EXPLOITS BY AIRMEN. ENORMOUS CROWDS ON SHORE AND AFLOAT. LONDON, 10th July. The Prime Minister (Mr. Asquiftfa.) and the Fij»t Lord of the Admiralty (Mr. Churchill) were on board the Admiralty yacht Enchantress, at the naval review at Spithead, and, with numbers of Parliamentarians, boarded the newest of the battleships and cruisers. At Spithead enormous crowds were gathered at all vantage points, and thirty thousand spectators were afloat. Great interest was shown in the airmaVt. «tt>loits.
