Early- laßt evening, Mrs. Scolt returned to. her home in Madras-street, and discovered the front door open, although' it had been closed when -she left it some time before. Ab she had lost some money from ,her house eomo time previously, bhe entered quickly, and^ found a pair of woman's boots outside one of the bedroom doors. Acting promptly, she locked the doors, and caved in tire police, who discovered in the bedroom a young girl, who was under tho bed.
