When application was made by the professional musicians before the Conciliation Court this morning, racing clubs asked for exemption^ ad only brass bands were employed at the races. These had nod joined the union. Choral and orchestral societies also asked to be exempted. The union representatives agreed to both societies being struck out, but the decision in regard to the racing clubs' application was held over. The council went into committee to discuss details.
