THE SiTCJNEY BOAT. At 1.80 p.m. on Saturday tie Maunganui left Sydney for Wellington direct with 100 saloon and 76 steerage passengers for all ports. Included in the steerage total are five Chinese for Wellington! The vessel Is due here early on Wednaday morning, and on the following day she sails again for Melbourne and Hobart, via southern ports. NAVUA DELAYED. Telegraphic advice received by the Union Company from Napier states .that the Navua. cannot arrive at that port until to-morrow morning <at the earliest. She will sail at noon for. Wellington, but her trip pto Lyttelton and Dunedin has been abandoned. Instead, the vessel tranships her Lyttelton cargo to tbe ferry boat, and the Hanoganut takes the Dunedin consignments. The Navua then goes to Weetport at 5 p.m. on Saturday. BANFFSHIRE AT LONDON. , The local agents of tbe New Zealand Shipping Company have received cabled advice stating that their chartered steamer Banffshlre, which sailed from Auckland on the 80th April for London, arrived at the latter port on Thursday last, tfte 27th June. Captain Hamilton, assistant harbourmaster at Bluff, and formerly chief officer of the Hlnemoa, left Wellington by tbe Maori for the South on Friday evening. He Is returning from his holiday. Mr. F. A. Williams signed on the Euroir at Auckland ac purser. Captain A. H. Thorpe, harbourmaster at Lyttelton, who left by the Wimtnera on a six weeks' holiday trip to Melbourne and Sydney, Is being relieved by Captain T. M. Hunter. The Norwegian whaler Sorell and the steam trawler Energy went on the Slip this morning. At 5 o'clock on Saturday the Waihora. left Auckland for Wellington. She is due here early to-morrow morning. The Rosamond arrived at Onehunga at 8 a.m yesterday, and sailed at noon to-day for Wellington direct. At 8 p.m. yesterday the Arahura arrived at Westport, and at 2 o'clock this- afternoon the waa to have left again for Greymouth. The Union Company's collier Eaiapoi, which left Newcastle, on Tuesday, 18th June, arrived at Lytteltom early 'ltiurcday morning. Captain Brown reports having met unfavourable weather when two day* out from the New South Wales port, which delayed the vessel somewhat. Favourable weaiher with moderate seas wa* experienced during the remainder of the Jourasy. Tbe Eaiapoi has 2500 tons of coal on board, and was eipected to leave for Greymouth on Saturday evening. Tbe Aparima was due at Colombo on Thursday from Cardlif (Wales), and after discharging a cargo of coal she will proceed to Calcutta to load for New Zealand ports.
