MAGISTRATE'S COURT

Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., presided over yesterday's sitting of the. Magistrate's Court. George M'Gregor, for allowing a motor car to stand in Willis-street after dark without a light, was fined sb, with 7s costs. Two first offenders for drunkenness were before the Court, one beiftg convicted and discharged, and the other-or-dered to pay ss, or undergo twenty-four hours' imprisonment. At the Mount Cook Police Court yesterday, before Mr. -T. Bland, J.P., one first offender was convicted and discharged for drunkenness, and on a similar charge another first offender, who was on bail, was fined 10s, with the option of forty-eight hours' detention.
