VITAL STATISTICS
Vital statistics for Wellington for the month are appended. Comparative figures are a-leo given. The figures for last- year are in brackets: Births, for June, 1912, 166 (157); deaths, 68 (66) ; marriages, 76 (71). Marriages in Registrar's Office, 16 (14). The half-yearly statistics are: BirtlS^ for half-year ending June, 1912, 1010 (980); deaths, 360 (410) ; marriages, 536 (516). One hundred and twenty-two of the marriages during the past half-year took place before the Registrar, as compared with U0 in the corresponding period of last year.
Arrangements are well in hand for the reception to Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.P., at the King George Theatre, 'Lower Hutt, on Monday Evening, and the function promises to be highly successful. A concert progjraintue will be givon. under the directaouof Mr. E- .1. Hill, und dancing will fill in the evening. Application are iuvited for the petition of architectural draftsman for tho Ho«pitii! aad Charitablo Aid Department.
