A BOY'S LOVE QUEST
The Enfield Magistrates were interested in the romance of a boy of 16 who ( 'was charged with ' wandering. The lad came -from '\Petei-borough, and he hud letters in' his pocket from an Edmonton girli It- ,was said that the boy and girl had corresponded through the medium of a boys' journal, and the boy had saved up his single fare to London. He arrived without a penny in his pocket, but fvaw the girl whom he sought. Her father, however, intervened in tho romantic courtship, and the boy was subsequently found at a late hour asleep in some bushes in the garden of a private house. He said he only earned 6s a week, bub wished to se© his unknown girl correspondent. He presented & wretched appearance; and was remanded, so that his parents might b© communicated with, although he pleaded to bo allowed to walk back.
